Brunberg’s iconic Alku Fudge, which has delighted Finnish sweet lovers for 117 years, has been refreshed. The product family now features a brand-new look, a more compact pack size and an exciting new flavour, while the familiar taste experience remains the same as before.
Alku Fudge has been part of Finnish sweet moments since 1909. Its original, full-bodied taste and soft, non-sticky texture have remained the secret behind its long-lasting popularity across generations.
As part of the refresh, the familiar taste experience has been paired with a more modern visual identity designed to appeal to both new and long-time fans of Alku Fudge. The product family now features an updated logo, a more colourful design and completely renewed wrappers, making the products even more eye-catching on store shelves.
– Alku is a beloved classic across generations. With this refresh, we wanted to preserve everything Alku is known for, while bringing the packaging and the overall look of the product family into the present day, says Nina Samlihan, Sales and Marketing Director at Brunberg.
As part of the update, Alku has moved from 300 grams packs to a new 200 grams size. The more compact format fits better on store shelves and makes it easier for consumers to pick and mix different flavours.
At the same time, the product family welcomes an exciting new addition: Raspberry Salty Liquorice. The flavour combines sweet raspberry with a pleasantly bold touch of salty liquorice in a perfectly balanced taste experience. The new flavour complements the familiar Alku flavour world by adding a fresh twist.
Alongside the novelty, the well-loved classics Traditional Caramel Fudge, Liquorice and Lemon Liquorice continue in the range. All Alku products are gluten free, and the Lemon Liquorice and Raspberry Salty Liquorice varieties are also low in lactose.
The refreshed Alku Fudge products are already available in Brunberg’s online store and will arrive in retail stores across Finland during June.
