The Brunberg confectionery factory in Porvoo is launching a highly anticipated new product this spring: a lactose-free milk chocolate praline. The unique praline was created following a long product development process based on customer requests.
The new orange-flavoured milk chocolate praline is lactose free, gluten free and palm oil free. The authentic, lactose-free milk chocolate shell of the praline is rich in cocoa (37 %). Inside is a soft, aromatic orange filling.
There is a high demand for lactose-free products and, for example, Brunberg’s lactose-free milk chocolate bars, introduced in 2007, are among Brunberg’s best-selling products. Our other chocolate bars, such as vegan dark chocolate and sugar-free chocolate, are also popular.
– We get a lot of customer feedback. Our product development work has long taken into account the needs and wishes of consumers with different dietary preferences. This product was created based on the wishes of both consumers and retailers. Lactose-free pralines have been much requested, especially during the festive seasons,” says Katarina Enholm, Managing Director of Brunberg Oy.
Brunberg has plans to expand the range of pralines to include other flavours in the future.
– Many different flavours were tested and the winner was orange. Technically, the product is demanding and we made additional investments in our production line. The professionalism of our equipment supplier helped us a lot,” says Piia Hyttinen, product developer.
The lactose-free milk chocolate praline will be available in Brunberg’s own stores and webshop in April. In early May, it will also be available to chocolate lovers in grocery stores. The new product is presented in an orange-coloured box and wrapper, which is also a beautiful eye-catcher on the festive table. The packaging size is 250 g and a 3 kg pack will also be available later on.
