Brownies with mocha truffles

Bake a batch of classic Swedish brownies and top them with delicious Brunberg Mocha Truffle Bars.

Mocha truffles add a sophisticated flavour to a favourite recipe for the whole family!

This recipe makes a batch of brownies.

Ingredients

Cake base

5 dl wheat flour

3 eggs

2 dl sugar

2 dl brewed coffee

150 g butter

1 dl cocoa powder

3 tsp. baking soda

 

Icing

420 g icing sugar

200 g creme fraiche

100 g butter

5 pcs. (100 g) Brunberg Mocca Truffle Bars

½ dl cocoa powder

Directions

Whisk the eggs and sugar until thick.

Mix the dry ingredients together.

Melt the butter.

Add the dry ingredients, coffee and butter to the egg and sugar foam. Mix the ingredients thoroughly.

Pour the batter onto a baking tray covered with baking paper and bake at 200°C for about 10-15 minutes until the base is ready.

Prepare the icing. Sift the icing sugar and cocoa powder into a bowl. Chop the truffle bars.

Melt the butter and the bars in the microwave or on the stove over low heat. Mix the crème fraiche into the butter and truffle mixture and pour the liquid mixture into the powdered sugar and cocoa powder.

Mix until smooth and spread the icing over the cooled base.

Finish the brownies with sprinkles and refrigerate them for a while to allow the icing to set slightly.

Tip! If you want a stronger coffee flavour in the icing, you can add 2 tablespoons of coffee and 1 tablespoon of icing sugar.
